Orbit Type Ball Valve

Orbit Type Ball Valve are advanced valves that feature a unique tilt-and-turn operation, which eliminates seal rubbing—a common cause of valve failure. This innovative design ensures easy, low-torque operation and long-term reliable performance, making them ideal for demanding applications.

Characteristics

The orbit type ball valve's operation is distinguished by its tilt-and-turn mechanism. When the valve is closed, the core is mechanically wedged tightly against the seat, providing a positive shutoff. As the valve begins to open, the core tilts away from the seat, allowing line flow to pass uniformly around the core face. This design prevents the localized high-velocity flow that causes uneven seat wear in conventional ball, gate, and plug valves. Finally, the core rotates to the fully open position.

Benefits

1. Seal Integrity: The absence of seal rubbing during both opening and closing extends the life of the valve seals.

2. Low Torque Operation: The tilt-and-turn mechanism reduces the torque required to operate the valve, making it easier to use.

3. Long-Term Reliability: The design minimizes wear and tear, ensuring long-lasting performance.

4. Uniform Flow: The core's tilting action ensures uniform flow around the core face, reducing seat wear and enhancing valve longevity.

Applications

Orbit type ball valves, known for their unique tilt-and-turn operation and reliable performance, are used in a variety of demanding industrial applications. Their robust design and ability to provide a positive shutoff with minimal wear make them suitable for critical environments where reliability and durability are paramount.
